Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Pay: $18/hr

Shift: 8:00am - 4:30pm Mon-Fri

Job Description

Shipping & Receiving Clerks play a critical role in ensuring materials, parts, and equipment are accurately received, inspected, processed, and shipped in accordance with company and regulatory standards. The warehouse supports the Department of Aviation and all commercial airlines, requiring the receipt and shipment of parts for the aviation industry.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against shipping and receiving documentation to ensure quantity, weight, and identification accuracy.
• Log receipt of items into the company's computer-based inventory or material tracking systems.
• Unload incoming inventory from trucks and ensure items are properly categorized and accounted for in storage locations.
• Prepare outbound shipments, including packaging, labeling, and processing freight bills, packing sheets, commercial invoices, and shipping tickets.
• Use computer systems for data entry, tracking, logging, discrepancy research, and documentation management.
• Counting and packaging parts.
• Stock inventory into shelf locations.
• Pick inventory for shipment to customers or repair vendors.
• Perform inventory cycle counts.
• Research and locate missing parts.
• Use RF scanners for inventory management and data entry.
• Engage in shipping and receiving tasks.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency with computer-based data entry systems and inventory management software.
• Experience in picking, packing, production, inventory control, and warehouse distribution (3+ months).
• Proficiency with RF scanners (3+ months).
• Basic computer skills including data entry, document scanning, and email usage.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with shipping, receiving, and manual pallet jacks.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Familiarity with WMS systems.

Work Environment

Work Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm in a large, non-climate-controlled warehouse. Expect to be on your feet for the majority of the day. Steel-toed boots are required for safety.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
