Warehouse Driver

North American Roofing is a large commercial roofing contractor servicing the United States. We are searching for a Warehouse Driver, located in Tampa, Florida.

Purpose of the Job: Inventory management and transporting materials to various sites in the Southeast and Florida

Job Duties Pack, unpack, palletize, wrap, move, and handle materials. Inventory and account for all materials in the warehouse. Materials handling to include preparing for delivery, receiving from a jobsite, and moving around the warehouse. Responsible for loading the delivery vehicle using the warehouse forklift for the purpose of ensuring that all items and supplies are properly and safely secured. Drives vehicles with or without trailers for the purpose of transporting orders and materials to designated sites. Other related duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.

Skills and Qualifications Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records check. Must be DOT certified and able to pass DOT physical and drug test Forklift certification required upon hire Must be able to climb a ladder; position may require lifting up to 80 lbs Must be able to work outside in all elements (heat, cold, rain, snow) Ability to operate tablet and smartphone Weekend and/or overnight travel may be required

Working Conditions Work is performed in a hybrid environment (including office, roof tops, customer spaces, vehicles and warehouses). Repetitive bending and stooping with frequent lifting up to 80 pounds is required. Repetitive finger/hand/forearm motion necessary for completing data entry or taking pictures. Ability to manipulate keyboard on a tablet, and telephone keypads essential. Talking and listening required for answering telephones and conversing personally with customers and staff. Travel will average up to 25% depending on production and service needs. Must be able to lift and set up a ladder weighing up to 80 pounds. Must be able to climb ladders on commercial roofs at a height of 20 to 40 feet. Must be able to climb a ladder or stairs to get onto a rooftop. Must be able to work at heights ranging from a single story to multi-story building. Must be able to wear a full, body harness when necessary for fall protection. Must be able to wear a respirator when necessary due to the environment. Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions ranging from extreme cold to extreme heat and other inclement weather circumstances.
