Warehouse located in North Jacksonville is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk for immediate start. Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all incoming and outgoing shipments. This position plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating logistics, and supporting smooth warehouse operations.

Shipping/Receiving Clerk Key Responsibilities

Shipping:

  • Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments according to customer and carrier requirements.
  • Generate and verify shipping documentation (packing slips, bills of lading, shipping manifests, etc.).
  • Schedule pickups with carriers and ensure shipments are dispatched on time.
  • Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, proper packaging, and damage prevention.

Receiving:

  • Unload and inspect incoming deliveries for accuracy and damage.
  • Verify contents against purchase orders and record discrepancies.
  • Process receipts in inventory or ERP systems and distribute materials to proper storage areas.
  • Communicate with purchasing or vendors regarding damaged or missing items.

Inventory & Recordkeeping:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
  • Update systems and logs for all shipping and receiving activities.
  • Organize warehouse space for efficient storage and retrieval of materials.

General Warehouse Support:

  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 13 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP or warehouse management systems (WMS) a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Office, email, data entry).

Work Environment

  • Warehouse environment; exposure to moving mechanical parts and varying temperatures.
  • May require overtime or flexible hours during peak periods.
