As a Supply Chain Logistics Specialist, you'll oversee the entire shipping process of our production output, guaranteeing timely and cost-effective solutions for our customers. This role reports to the Logistics Supervisor and is based out of our Brookshire, Texas facility. Your Impact As a vital member of our Logistics team, you will enhance operational excellence and cost-effectiveness, supporting our dedication to providing world-class water solutions. Your Responsibilities: Coordinate freight shipments by obtaining quotes, scheduling carriers, and managing the shipping department's inbox to ensure on-time deliveries. Manage all shipping transactions using SAP, including printing delivery orders and ensuring transaction accuracy through confirmation reports. Handle freight claims comprehensively while approving shipping invoices according to Delegation of Authority guidelines. Ensure dock inventory accuracy through checks against system records and collaborate with planning to determine shipping priorities. Analyze missed shipments, communicate insights to relevant teams, and execute measures to reduce logistics costs. Lead the shipping team to ensure timely and compliant shipments, while adhering to DOT hazardous materials regulations. What Makes You a Great Fit? You are a detail-oriented logistics professional who excels in fast-paced environments, seamlessly blending digital coordination with hands-on warehouse engagement. Your strong collaboration and communication skills will be key to smooth operations. We are looking for candidates with: A high school diploma and 3-5 years of logistics experience (preferred). Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook, along with excellent typing and data entry skills. The ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, demonstrating urgency and precision. Strong written and verbal English communication skills. It’s a Plus If You Have: Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems. Experience managing LTL, courier, and full truckload shipments. Knowledge of DOT regulations regarding hazardous materials transport. Compensation and Benefits: The salary for this position ranges from $23.50 to $31.00 per hour, with specific pay determined by market location and candidate qualifications.
