Position Summary:
ARCH-Minneapolis is looking for an experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our weekend day shift team!
Perform all inspection activities including receiving inspection, first article, in-process, and final inspections to ensure final product meets all company and customer requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of inspection methods, process control plan, and records.
- Inspects products per established inspection plans.
- Documents measurement data to electronic database or written inspection plans.
- Inspect products using a CMM.
- Communicates measurement data; Provides assistance to trouble shoot out of spec conditions during first article or in-process inspection.
- Performs final inspection of products with accurate data collection and reporting.
- Ensures accurate and timely data entry into ERP system.
- Utilize statistical process control software to analyze measurement data.
- Ensure inspection programs are up to date with current revisions prior to use.
- Create paperwork required to complete inspection operations following guidelines of internal documentation and record keeping. This includes the Certificate of Compliance, product certifications and customer inspection records.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 2 years of post-secondary education in related field
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in the field.
- Due to contractual requirements, this position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have an understanding on basic inspection gauges including but not limited to gauge pins, gauge blocks, thread gauges, thread rings, inside and outside micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, Mueller gages, drop indicators, dial indicators, surface plates and height stands
- Tight tolerance inspection experience in the medical device/aerospace manufacturing industry
- Strong math background
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Blueprint reading & GD&T
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize work independently with little or no supervision, demonstrate the ability to work with a sense of urgency
- Multi-task and reorganize workload effectively and respond with the appropriate sense of urgency to meet deadlines as directed
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, continuous mental and visual attention is needed. The ability to stand for a shift, sit, talk, and hear is frequently required. Lifting to 40 pounds occasionally is required. Exposure to manufacturing areas where temperature may vary, and personal protective equipment is required.
