A growing industrial services operation supporting complex projects and precision-built systems is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to ensure materials, equipment, and supplies are accurate, accounted for, and customer-ready. This role plays a critical part in project success by maintaining inventory integrity, verifying outbound loads, and supporting quality documentation in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour or DOE Schedule: Must be flexible Employment Type: Temporary
What You'll Do
- Manage inventory control for products and purchased equipment received and delivered.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for equipment, parts, and supplies using count and logging systems.
- Perform weekly inventory counts and ensure records are current and accurate.
- Inspect equipment and materials being loaded for projects to confirm accuracy per load sheets.
- Verify correct sizes and quantities of studs, nuts, and related components for each project.
- Ensure equipment is clean, organized, and presentable prior to delivery to customers.
- Review and approve UT forms and hydro test charts for accuracy and completeness.
- Identify inventory discrepancies or issues and resolve them efficiently.
- Forecast potential inventory challenges and proactively communicate concerns to supervisors.
- Collaborate closely with team members and leadership across departments.
- Support cross-training efforts by assisting in multiple departments as needed.
What You Bring
- Minimum of 2 years of inventory control experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and anticipate future needs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Flexibility and willingness to train across departments to support operational collaboration.
- Ability to pass an Excel skills test and a computer literacy assessment.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more as required.
