Warehouse Associate [Flex]

Join the Sonoma Craft team and help create high-quality cider from the ground up. We're looking for a motivated, hands-on Warehouse Associate [Flex] who thrives in a physical, team-oriented environment. This role offers strong on-the-job training and exposure to all stages of warehouse and packaging work-from loading and unloading trucks, palletizing product, and operating a forklift. This role will also assist the packaging department as needed by feeding materials into machines to keep production running smoothly.
Job Summary
The Warehouse Associate Flex works with the Warehouse Tech I&II, Packaging Tech I&II, and the Warehouse Coordinator to proficiently perform tasks related to finished goods and materials handling. This is done via packaging, warehousing, shipping/receiving, and inventory. This role is responsible for preparing materials and equipment, operating and monitoring packaging machinery, palletizing finished goods, and maintaining cleanliness and safety within the cidery. The Warehouse Associate Flex follows established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), adheres to quality and safety standards, and assists with routine maintenance and production reporting. Other tasks assigned due to business needs.
Job Responsibilities
After completing site-specific training and certification, operates forklifts, and pallet jack to handle materials throughout the production facility; Proficient in advanced load handling techniques and principles
Follows pick lists to prepare, move, and stage pallets of finished goods and dry goods
Receives deliveries of packaging materials and consumables and stores them in designated staging areas
Operates packaging equipment, including, Can Depalletizer, Date Coding Systems, Paktech Applicator, Case Erector, and Keg Sanitizer/Filler, including startup, shutdown, and operating functions.
Operates pumps to perform Tank CIP protocols, as well as clean/sanitize pumps and hoses to maintain sanitary workspace
Organizes and attends to details pertaining to all shipping/receiving documents and inventories and processes necessary paperwork
Maintains a clean and orderly production facility and performs final finished goods quality checks prior to shipment out of the facility
Prepares and packages marketing materials to be shipped with wholesale orders
Prepares, packages, and ships retail or employee orders
Delivers materials, via company vehicle, to offsite locations, which may include the Sebastopol taproom, Santa Rosa warehouse, Santa Rosa production facility, or local customers
Be cross trained in the packaging department (both on the canning and kegging lines) to support during any requested break coverage by the leadership team.
Collaborate with the packaging team to ensure that finished goods are properly prepared, labeled, counted, and staged for shipping or storage
Performs regular weekly and monthly inventory counts of dry goods or finished goods, per established standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Regular communication with Warehouse Coordinator regarding potential improvements to warehouse processes
Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
High School Diploma, GED, or three years of work-related experience. Higher Education preferred
Competent with the basics of electronic systems of communication: email, chat, and basic data entry
Forklift Certification and proven ability to safely operate a forklift, scissor lift, and pallet jack
CA Driver's License with clean driving record. Experience driving fleet vehicles, including cargo vans and box trucks preferred.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including extended hours and overtime as needed
Proficient levels in reading, writing, and mathematical skills
Demonstrated ability to understand and follow directions, as well as listen and communicate with co-workers
Strong and proven work ethic, and ability to multi-task workload
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
This position is based in Healdsburg, CA. Expected in-offices days are Monday through Friday
This role is classified as non-exempt under California wage and hour laws. This position is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable state and federal law for hours worked beyond standard work hours, as approved by management.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb.
Ability to frequently talk, hear, feel, taste, and smell.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 165 lbs. to waist height
Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms.
Ability to work on a platform ladder at heights up to 20 feet.
Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to participate in critical assessment of ciders.

Compensation Transparency
Compensation range: Non-Exempt $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
The posted pay range reflects the long-term earning potential for this role. Initial offers are determined based on non-discriminatory, business-related factors-including experience, education, training, professional certifications, geographic location, internal equity, and performance expectations-and are not made at the top of the range.
