The Warehouse Supervisor, 2nd Shift is a key member of the EDCO Products Distribution Center team. This full-time, exempt position is based in Hopkins, MN, and reports directly to the Operations Manager. Standard working hours are 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with extended hours necessary to support operational needs.

The Supervisor is responsible for leading and developing the 2nd shift warehouse team to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient picking of outbound orders across all order types. Core responsibilities include overseeing picking, shipment preparation, labeling, load verification, and maintaining strict inventory accuracy to uphold EDCO’s standards for quality, service, and safety.

This position also manages day-to-day 2nd shift warehouse operations, drives performance to meet established key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensures full compliance with company policies and safety regulations. The Supervisor is accountable for investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, recording weekly operational data to support KPI tracking and performance analysis, and maintaining consistent communication of shift updates, challenges, and accomplishments to management and other departments. Additionally, this role is responsible for all facility closing and physical security procedures, including securing equipment, locking the building and yard, and activating the alarm system to ensure the premises are fully secured at the end of each shift.

  • Leads and motivates a team of warehouse associates to achieve outbound order accuracy, efficiency, and safety goals.
  • Ensures all outbound shipments are verified for accuracy, properly labeled, safely palletized, and loaded according to company standards.
  • Monitors warehouse workflow to maintain productivity levels and ensure alignment with operational KPIs.
  • Conducts quality checks on labeling, pallet integrity, and load configuration prior to dispatch.
  • Oversees inventory control during the shift; investigates discrepancies, identifies root causes, and implements corrective actions to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Utilizes NetSuite ERP to manage order status, billing issues, inventory adjustments, and to support data integrity across systems.
  • Maintains accountability for safety, housekeeping, and organization standards; ensures compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Provides real-time communication and end-of-shift reporting to the Operations Manager, including issues, delays, or improvement opportunities.
  • Completes daily closing responsibilities including facility lock-up, alarm activation, and verification that all equipment is properly secured and functioning.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; post-secondary training or supervisory coursework preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and ERP systems (NetSuite experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and outbound logistics processes.

Working Environment

Occasionally extended workday to maintain proper supervisory staff level. Ability to lift 100 pounds, move about the warehouse freely, climb, stoop, crouch, and kneel as needed. Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes and outside weather conditions. The noise level is moderate to occasionally loud.
