Senior Materials Handler Perform necessary tasks in Myerstown site's warehouse operations to coordinate movement ofhigh-qualitymaterials and products on time and in the right quantities; Transport material between Myerstown, PA buildings and off-site locations. YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ensurea safework environment by following all safety and ergonomicrules, including any special personal protective equipment (PPE) andstandard operating procedures (SOPs) applying to a particular process orarea. Maintain clean and orderly work area andparticipatein safetyimprovement projects. Transport materials between buildings and off-site locations. Maintain accuracy of the Drop Trailer Log and related resources;maintainappropriate handlingof all inbound and outbound paperwork. Appropriately communicate with the distribution centers andtransportation companies. Responsible for fleet maintenance. Perform full range of duties associated with operations in 3 on-site warehouses such as: Meeting production demands andmaintainproduction priorities byfollowing site wide productionschedule Effectively read & followschedule, including communicating with supervision on material concerns. Forklift operation,stand-upandsit-downunits, includingoperation of required attachments such as thepullpack, clamp, drumclamp and inverter. Operation of warehouse equipment including racking (high density,fixed, flow), battery charging units, wrapping machines, dock plates andscales. Perform receiving, storing, & shipping tasks by followingSOPs,includingbut not limited to inspecting materials for damage, ensuringcorrect counts, & ensuring materials are clean by Current GoodManufacturing Standards (cGMPs).For example, physically matchingdocumentation to materials received, verifying materials to shippingorders to ensure accuracy, followingcGMPsto ensure materialcleanliness, preparing shipping orders and scrap orders, etc. Accurately complete,maintain, and update documentation(electronic and paper) when performing material movement tasks. Picking orders of various raw and packaging materials to supply tothe production departments Review and verify teammembers'paperwork as needed. Other miscellaneous tasks to include, but not limited to Material transfers by operating company vehicles on site,includingmailrunsand deliveries of Maintenance Repair and OperationalItems (MROs) to proper locations, as well asoperatethe Box Truck forinterplant, local, and long distant trips. Providing support to the QA Department (Sample Rooms andretesting) Pulling materials for Write Offs Loading landfill and recycling trailers Ensuringappropriate handling,storageand response to Hazardousand sensitive materials. Completion of allrequiredelectronic and paper documentationassociated with each task, including the attachment of pictures whenrequired. This includes the completion of required safety observations,quality observations, training, process improvements, work orders andattendingscheduled departmental meetings. Submit work orders as neededi.e.to keep equipment running orrepair racks. Coordinate work with external contractors and vendors as directedby supervision Help build team-oriented culture & continuous process improvementsby motivating and supporting team members, being faithful to the teamprocess by sharing knowledge with all members of the department, andtake ownership of training and learning for self-development and teamtraining (i.e.training team members,motivatingand supporting teammembers, sharing knowledge to continuously improve the process, self-initiating the development of technical skills, etc.). Utilizeautomated inventory system (i.e., SAP, MES) to conduct thefollowing transactions, as needed: Material movement and storage Scrap transactions Reconciliation SAP inventory cleanup Cycle Counting Empty Bin Reports May perform other duties as assigned. WHO YOU ARE Bayer seeks an incumbent whopossessesthe following: Required Qualifications: High School diploma or GEDrequired. Demonstrated ability to read/interpret/follow instructionsin regard toworkplace documentation, such as SOP’s, Work Instructions, etc. Microsoftsoftware experience(Outlook) Experience using motorized & non-motorized materialhandling equipment. Abilitytooperatea forklift truck;forktruckcertification and experience. Ability tooperatea pallet jack Ability to work safely in a production environment. Demonstratea good mathematical aptitude inaddition, subtraction, multiplication, division, & metric system. Abilitytomaintaina valid driver’s license; CommercialDriver license with experience in over-the-road driving and yardmovementrequired. Must be willing to work overtime asrequired, based onproduction/warehouse demands. Must be willing to work 3rdshift (11:30 AM – 7:10 AM) Preferred Qualifications: Lotus Notes experience CDL License Experience in a government regulated, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or standard operating procedures (SOP) environment Experience in warehouse & material handling Hazardous Materials (HazMat) endorsement Employees can expect to be paid an hourly rate of $20.70. Additionalcompensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).Additionalbenefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
