Starting Pay: $17.00 per hourPosition Summary Description: Loads refrigerated trucks for established routes. Responsible for ensuring trucks are loaded accurately based on routing schedule, meeting target delivery departure times, checking product integrity and quality standards for pallet build are met before loading. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Operates pallet jack to load product onto trucks for delivery to customer locations. Checks product quality and minimizes damages prior to loading for delivery. Confirm orders are stacked according to company standards and orders are loaded to the correct delivery trucks. Notifies supervisors of any damages or discrepancies in orders immediately. Ensures all products are free from improper or unsafe stacking. Follows established safety standards for proper food handling. Responsible for general housekeeping in the loading docks and warehouse. Performs similar and related duties as assigned by supervisor. Uses the Company's Mission/Vision Statements and Core Values as their guiding principles Qualifications: Education/Training and Experience Six months to one year experience of distribution or warehouse experience, preferably in the foodservice industry. Other Requirements Must be able to successfully complete in-house forklift certification test. Working Environment: The working environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to temperatures ranging from -15 °F to 88 °F. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, such as those found on a forklift, pallet jack, or other warehouse equipment. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, and exhaust fumes from delivery vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud and illumination is moderate to good. Exposure to outside weather conditions is occasional. Equipment Used: Frequent use of a sit-down forklift, riding pallet jack, and/or walking pallet jack (upon authorization from management). Days/Hours of Work: Position hours are Sunday through Friday during regular night business hours. Frequent work outside of normal business hours are required.
