Oertel Metal Works is currently seeking a reliable and safety-oriented Material Handler for our Davenport, Iowa location. Our Material Handlers are responsible for safely moving raw materials throughout the warehouse to ensure continuous production. This person will also load and unload trucks, check paperwork to match delivery tickets and secure all loads using straps and covers. This role is responsible for ensuring strong quality standards are met by following instructions and paying attention to detail. What makes you successful in this position? • Previous fork truck driving experience preferred, or the ability to learn and safely operate a fork truck. • You enjoy working in a warehouse in a physical role. You'll be on your feet & moving throughout the day, which could also include lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally. • Team player mentality and the desire to be a part of a successful, hard-working team. • You are organized and notice the small details of your work. • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen. • You have a valid driver's license This position works Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm each day, with the option for overtime.
