Position: Inventory Control Specialist
Available Schedule: Sunday, 5:00 AM - 1:40 PM, Monday through Thursday, 1:50 PM - 10:30 PM
Compensation: $18.00 per hour
Job Description: As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will play a vital role in managing daily inventory operations within a dynamic warehouse environment. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the accuracy, organization, and efficiency of our inventory processes. You will collaborate closely with the Operations Manager and cross-functional teams to implement improvements and uphold best practices, contributing significantly to operational success and client satisfaction.
Core Responsibilities & Duties:
Conduct daily cycle counts and guide the inventory team in their execution.
Identify key areas requiring cycle counts and ensure timely completion.
Investigate and resolve significant inventory discrepancies.
Approve inventory adjustments in warehouse systems to maintain accurate records.
Oversee the labeling, storage, and organization of inventory across all warehouse locations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in inventory control areas, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory performance.
Assist in third-party audits and fulfill client-requested inventory counts.
Collaborate with Customer Service and the Inventory Operations Manager to address discrepancies.
Ensure adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Analyze material movements for opportunities to enhance processes.
Support client Quality Control (QC) requests following established guidelines.
Manage the internal picking error log, coordinating the restocking of returned inventory.
Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations among inventory control staff.
Report any accidents or injuries immediately to management and HR.
Submit Time & Attendance records accurately and punctually.
Foster a culture of respect, teamwork, and professionalism within the team.
Undertake any other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
At least 3 years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations.
Demonstrated expertise in cycle counting, reconciliations, and resolving variances.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
Strong understanding of inventory processes, metrics, and reporting methods.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively train, coach, and lead team members.
Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Flexibility with scheduling and availability for overtime as required.
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
