Inventory Clerk

POSITION SUMMARY: Maintains timely records of materials in inventory and kitting of orders. Monitors and initiates action to replenish stock. Reconciles discrepancies in inventories and notifies supervisor of irregularities. Schedule: 5:00am - 1:30pm **Lift Requirement: 75lb** ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Monitors and maintains current inventory levels; processes orders as required; tracks orders and investigates problems. Performs physical count of inventory and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports. Processes and documents return as required following established procedures. Performs routine clerical duties, including data entry, and assisting in resolving issues. May lead, guide, and train other employees, interns, and/or volunteers performing related work; may participate in the recruitment of volunteers, as appropriate to the area of operation. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. COMPETENCIES: Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control. Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data. Database management skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to analyze and solve problems. Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork. Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods. Clerical, word processing, and/or office skills. Knowledge of company invoicing procedures. REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Highschool Diploma/GED PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee must be able to lift and/or move items over 75 pounds.
